Early on Monday July 26th 2021, we became aware that Liberty was the subject of a cyber security incident. Therefore, we have taken our systems offline as a precautionary measure, to protect people’s personal data.
Investigations are currently ongoing and will allow us to determine the extent of the incident and whether any data was accessed. At the moment, it appears that the quick actions of our ICT specialist meant we were able to prevent major damage from being caused.
The safety of everyone is our priority, and this includes the safety and integrity of personal data. That's why we are alerting you of this cyber security incident so that you can be extra vigilant and do everything possible to keep your personal data safe.
Work is continuing to be delivered nationwide, and we are still providing all vital services for clients and customers. We take this matter extremely seriously and we apologise to anyone who may have been impacted by this incident.
