John Cameron, Contracts & Compliance Officer at Denbighshire County Council

We have utilised Fusion21’s frameworks a number of times to award work via direct call off. We have awarded Liberty both a five year repair and maintenance contract and a planned installation contract on a supply and fit basis in this way. Using direct call off from the framework saves us a lot of time in the procurement process, allowing us to have Liberty on site quickly, and was also the most cost efficient way for us to procuring the works.

With the framework offering the option for Direct Award, buyers are able to speed up their procurement process, having a contractor in place quickly to meet their needs and minimising down time.

Accessing Fusion21 frameworks ensures your organisation is complying with The Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) principles and regulations.

This is the publication in which all tenders from the public sector which are valued above a certain financial threshold according to EU legislation must be published. There is a number of rules and legal obligations which public sector organisations need to undertake. The current thresholds for OJEU are:

Services: £164,176.00

Supplies: £164,176.00

Works: £4,104,394.00

Using a framework will ensure your organisation is OJEU compliant, accessing Fusion21 frameworks will also enable you to avoid the high cost of running your own procurement exercises. Specifically accessing Fusion21 frameworks will also ensure your procurement activity is compliant with the Social Value Act (2012)

Through accessing a framework your organisation will be able to call upon procurement expertise, source from a supply chain that is continuously monitored and has undertaken both rigorous cost and quality assessments, avoiding any duplication in the process.
