Property services business, Liberty, has secured a major contract to deliver Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council’s Sutton Way improvement scheme worth circa £13 million.
The Merseyside based national business specialises in the full range of property services including refurbishments, new build homes, repairs and maintenance, gas servicing and renewable energy.
Liberty will carry out improvement works across ten residential blocks at Sutton Way. This will include:
· Enhancing the external appearance and safety of the buildings
· Installation of CCTV and improved lighting
· Improved secure access car parking
· Replacing windows
· Installing new video door entry systems and internal front doors
· Refurbishing communal areas to create high quality new spaces to improve the lives of residents
· Partial demolition and remodelling of 3 blocks
· 16 new build homes
Extensive external landscaping works will also form part of the first phase.

Work on phase one started at the end of July 2021, which includes refurbishment to 6 of the blocks. Phase two will follow, and this will see Liberty demolish sections of 3 of the blocks to improve the layout and security and build 16 new build homes.
Liberty has been appointed by Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council’s strategic housing partner, ForHousing. ForHousing delivers housing management services for the Council’s 5,500 homes in Ellesmere Port, Neston and Winsford.
