Colleagues prepare to tackle Tough Mudder

In under two weeks’ time, 21 Liberty colleagues, including Group Managing Director Ray Jones, are set to tackle one of the toughest obstacle courses in the UK.

Tough Mudder events are located across the country and are regarded as some of toughest obstacle courses in the world.

With entry fees having been paid for by Liberty, the runners will be taking on the 10-mile course at Cholmondeley Castle on Sunday, September 5th, 2021 to prove they have what it takes to be the best and to raise money for two brilliant charities – MIND and Shelter via their Virgin Money Giving page.

They will be working as a team across the gruelling course and will come face to face with 25 obstacles including The Block Ness Monster, Arctic Enema, Hydrophobia and Mud Mile.

The team are raising money for two charities; mental health provider MIND and homeless charity Shelter. Funds raised will be split 50/50 so they can continue to improve lives.

Justin Davies, Service Delivery Manger in the North West, said: “Taking part in the Tough Mudder is going to be a tough challenge to overcome, but a fun one at the same time. We’ve been stuck indoors so much the past 18 months so it will be good to get stuck into this tricky obstacle course and raise money for two worthy charities.”

Ray Jones, Group Managing Director said: “MIND and Shelter are two fantastic charities close to my heart who do incredible work every day to support people across the UK.

“It’s going to be a challenging course, but our team spirit will help us get over the line together.”
