Liberty is a property services provider to public, domestic and commercial clients across the UK. Established in 1969, we offer professional gas installation, maintenance and servicing, as well as energy solutions, electrical installations and property building and maintenance services.

We are looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor, to work in the North West and Wales region.

Key responsibilities for this Quantity Surveyor role are:

Profitability/ Commercial Awareness

Maximise the profitability of each projects

Utilise the tender process and be able to create the appropriate tender documents

Prepare commercial agreements with sub-contractors and/ or suppliers

Maximise value/ income on a monthly basis


Manage construction projects along with the contractual position at all stages of a project

Implement terms of contracts with sub-contractors

Management of contractual positions

Effectively managing risk


Undertaking enquiry, quotation and order processes efficiently

Ensuring accurate analysis of sub-contractor applications

Manage the let of contracts to high quality sub-contractors based on cost comparison exercises

Financial Reporting

Resolve and manage issues based upon monthly reporting

Following client reporting process

Schedule of repotting

Client focus

Discuss and resolve day-to-day issues with clients and consultants

Maintain professional relationship with all clients, consultants and sub-contractors

Experience and qualifications

Relevant degree (Quantity Surveying/ Construction Management) Desirable

Member of RICS/ other relevant professional body

Hold a CSCS card (desirable) & Full clean driving license.

Relevant quantity surveying experience in commercial/ construction sector, have experience of managing own projects, excellent working knowledge of MS Office packages.

Experience of complying with:

Health & Safety, Quality & Environmental policies and procures

Procurement processes, material and labour authorization processes

Tender policy, process and legislation

Format of the letting of commercial agreements with sub-contractors

Contractor contract charge application process

Using dilapidation surveys to generate bill of quantities

Performance assessment of contractors

Environmental effects of products/ and/ or services

Safe and secure storage and maintenance of internal and external documentation
