We are a specialist repairs and maintenance service provider to public, domestic and commercial clients across the UK. Established in 1969, Liberty offers professional responsive repairs services, gas installation, maintenance and servicing, as well as energy solutions, electrical installations and property building services.

We are now looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join us in assisting the Accountants and Finance Business Partner within Repairs & Maintenance in the production of monthly management accounts with supporting contract costing analysis.

Key responsibilities for this Assistant Accountant role are:

provide month end support including:

being involved in the production of monthly management reports

preparing contract costing analysis

balance sheet reconciliations

journal entries

assist with yearend processes including;

dealing with information requests from auditors

preparing statutory accounts

commercial review support

providing support to the Accountant and wider operations team, with insight into numbers provided

working closely with the transactional finance team to ensure accurate processing of revenue and costs

be capable of working within a multi-disciplined team

work proactively to help address any queries from both internal and external stakeholders

be focused on supporting the transactional finance team with accurate processing support

Good Excel skills including v-lookups and pivot tables, proficient in using IT systems, including Microsoft office software in particular Outlook, Word and Excel. Good analytical skills.
