Liberty completed extensive property refurbishments on behalf of Arcon Housing Group to 80 homes in Greater Manchester, including bathroom refurbishments and planned re-roofing. The multi-block scheme was carefully planned and delivered in partnership by Paul Johnson, Liberty Site Manager and Tricia Caines, Building Surveyor for Arcon.
Organising multi-block work involves careful planning, flexibility and consultations. Due to careful planning and a flexible approach Liberty has delighted customers by completing their bathroom refurbishments ahead of schedule, completing each bathroom in an average of 6.4 days, against a target of 8 days. Quality and customer focus were maintained throughout with Arcon saying:
“100% of feedback received on both the roof and bathroom completion was positive, with particular reference to the detailed information provided prior to work being undertaken.”
To ensure customer satisfaction and maximum flexibility in the scheme, customers had the option to purchase additional bathroom finishing’s to be fitted by Liberty. One customer, who wrote to Arcon to say how pleased she was with her new bathroom, chose to purchase a bathroom cabinet, sink and accessories so she was able to have her ‘dream bathroom’.
Before Liberty started work on her bathroom, she had a separate toilet, bath and sink area. This dividing wall was knocked down to create a single bathroom. She sent a card to Arcon to say thanks to both Paul and Tricia for their regular communication and excellent workmanship, saying ‘I am so so pleased with my new bathroom, it looks fantastic and it has given me so much more space.’
Arcon said “The entire project has been an overall success with all of our tenants very pleased with their finished renovations.”
Due to the excellent service provided, Arcon have awarded additional bathroom refurbishment works to Liberty, doubling the initial contract value and speeding up the bathroom refurbishment programme for their tenants.
