Liberty apprentice kick-starts placement with Muir Group Housing Association

A new apprentice has started his placement with housing association Muir Group Housing Association. 

Aaron Quinn is the latest addition to the gas delivery team responsible for servicing and maintaining heating for Muir’s customers in the North West and Cheshire area.

He was welcomed to the team by Muir’s Compliance Manager Mike Proudfoot who visited the Liberty head office in Knowsley on his first day shadowing gas engineers.

Lee Smith, Assistant Director of Operations overseeing the delivery of gas services said: “Aaron has been assigned to the Muir contract which was made possible by our contract agreement with Muir Group Housing Association.

“We are committed to upskilling young people local to our contracts and ensuring they develop and flourish in their role.”

Mike said: “We really wanted to engage someone in employment to help invest in skills for apprentices and Liberty were really keen to support this.

“When procuring a gas services provider through Fusion21, they ensured Liberty would provide an added element of social value and we have been delighted to secure this apprenticeship.

“We wish Aaron the best of luck and look forward to seeing him develop his skills and help to support gas services for Muir residents.”
